Day 1: Agadir - Taznakht - Draa Valley - Agdez

One of our team will meet you at the chosen location in Agadir; your hotel, the airport or bus station. Your tour will begin with the journey south crossing the Anti Atlas Mountains and passing through Taliouine, the saffron capital and Taznakht where many fine rugs are handwoven. After a lunch break the drive continues to reach the Draa valley where the High atlas meets the Anti Atlas. From here the landscapes change as the palm groves are dominant. The town of Agdez has been an important crossroads and trading point for centuries, its hidden Kasbah still has many fine adobe buildings and its market has some of the sweetest dates. Overnight in Agdez.

Day 2: Agdez - Rissani - Merzouga - Camel Trekking and Night in the desert

After breakfast, your journey takes you across vast landscapes and through villages and towns lost in time. Nkob is known as the town of 45 kasbahs and has many fine examples of these traditional adobe buildings. We continue through Alnif and take a lunch break in Rissani, here, the local delicacy is Medfouna; a delicious stuffed pizza. After lunch and a stroll around the colourful market, we turn south and take the road to the distant desert sands. Once in Merzouga, you will meet your camels for the ride across the dunes. In your nomadic style camp, the team will prepare dinner and play music under the stars around a campfire.

Day 3: Merzouga - Erfoud - Ziz Valley - Midelt - Azrou - Ifrane - Fes

In the morning, an early start to catch the rays of sunrise, breakfast and a camel ride back to meet your driver. Today the road is north facing and we will make a short visit in Erfoud where they have museums and workshops that clean and polish fossils found in the nearby landscapes. Many beautiful minerals are also on view as well as dinosaur bones. The mountains return and the palm groves along the Ziz Valley follow below you on the way. Midelt is known as the apple capital and a lunch break will be taken here. In the afternoon, the mountains give way to forests and in Azrou we will stop so you can view the indigenous monkeys in the trees. These forests have the largest cedar trees in all of Morocco and are very impressive. Further north, we come to Ifrane; or Little Switzerland, named so because of its alpine architecture. The land changes again then as we get closer to the days destination; Fes. You will be finishing your 3 day tour here.
