Day 1 of your 7-day tour from Marrakech to Tangier commences with an early morning pick-up. On this day, we will drive through the High Atlas Mountains via the famous Tizi N'Tichka mountain pass, which is the highest mountain pass in Morocco. On our way, we will make a halt at the beautiful ancient town of Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Then we will continue driving to Ouarzazate, then Skoura, an oasis town, and finally the Valley of Roses. In the evening, we will arrive at Dades Valley, where we will have our dinner and sleep.
After breakfast, we will go towards Todra Gorges. The gorges are great with their high mountain cliffs. One can walk and enjoy the fresh air. After that, we will go towards Merzouga via small towns and palm trees. In the afternoon, we will start our camel trip into the desert of Sahara and our luxury camp. Enjoy your sunset over the dunes, then dinner and music, and a night under the stars.
Wake up early in the morning to see the sunrise on the dunes. After breakfast, 4x4 Desert Exploration will be on the agenda. Activities for the day: Visiting nomadic families, exploring the village of Khamlia with Gnawa music, and exploring the vast expanses of the desert – it is an opportunity to get an insight into life in the desert. In the afternoon, return to the village of Merzouga and your Riad.
In the morning, breakfast will be served, and then you will be heading away from the desert and towards Fes. On your way, you will pass through Erfoud town, and you will be able to see the view of the Ziz Valley, where there are palm trees. You will also pass through the Middle Atlas Mountains, and your next destination will be Midelt, where you will be having your lunch. After that, you will be heading towards Ifrane, where you will see clean streets and an European look. You will be arriving in Fes in the evening, and your overnight stay will be in a riad.
Today, it's the day that you are going to visit the city of Fes accompanied by your local guide. Today, you are going to visit the old medina, which is known to be the largest in the world. On this day, you are going to visit the famous places in the medina, including Bou Inania Madrasa, tannery, and souks. Fes is known as the spiritual and cultural capital of Morocco. On this day, you are supposed to overnight in a riad.
