As early as possible, our driver/guide will pick you up from your accommodation to start the 2 Day Fes to Marrakech Desert Tour and drive you to the south-east of Morocco, away from the hustle and bustle of the cities, crossing by many Berber villages. Our first stop will be in Ifrane, one of the cleanest Moroccan towns and sometimes referred to as the Switzerland of Morocco, and we'll continue on from there to the largest Cedar Forest of Azrou, where you might catch a glimpse of wild monkeys swinging between the trees. You will have lunch in Midelt, one of the little cities in the Atlas Mountains, before continuing on your trip to the Sahara Desert. After leaving Tizi N Talghmt, we traverse the High Atlas Mountains to arrive at Ziz Gorges, where you will see the scenery has changed from being entirely green to desert. After a few hours of driving, you will arrive at Merzouga Sahara Desert, where you will have a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Camel trekking takes about one and a half hours, and it involves going up and down the dunes while stopping frequently to take special pictures of the view and the setting sun. After that, you will arrive at the camp, which may be a luxury or standard one depending on your preferences. When you arrive at the camp, you will be greeted with a cup of tea. The staff will then lead you to your accommodation, which is a cozy tent. After the mood takes over—local drumming music played by the staff beneath a starry sky—a delectable dinner will be served at the Camp. The ambiance of the Sahara Desert offers wonderful opportunities for people to experience the stillness and tranquillity of nature.
You'll rise up early to appreciate the beauty of sunrise and snap photos, then have breakfast and take a shower before making your way back, either by camel or 4x4 to the village of Merzouga, where your driver is waiting for you. The route will take you via Rissani, the birthplace of the Alaoui family, which continues to rule Morocco to this day. Passing through Alinf, Tazarine, and the rock desert before arriving at Ouarzazate, renowned as the Hollywood of Africa, international movies have been shot in its film studios including Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After lunch, we proceed our 2 days Sahara desert tour from Fes to the well-known and oldest Kasbah in Morocco, Ait Ben Haddou, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. We stop here to take pictures of this mud structure from a panoramic view. Finally we travel through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N Tichka Pass, which has an elevation of 2260 meters above the sea, before arriving in Marrakech, where the Sahara Desert trip from Fes comes to an end.
