At Marrakech Desert Excursions, we offer plenty of Morocco desert tours but the 3 days desert tour from Marrakech to Agadir, is also one of the best chosen desert trips. This excursion is customized for travelers who want to explore the Sahara desert and relaxing in the best beach of Agadir after a long journey from Merzouga.

At 8:00/9:00 a.m., we will be picked up from the riad and begin our 3 days tour from Marrakech to Agadir via Merzouga. Departure from Marrakech over the cool Tichka pass, across the Atlas Mountains, with breaks along the way to take in the breathtaking views. Optional visit to a small cooperative of women who produce argan oil, where you may learn about how this valuable commodity is made, as well as all of the culinary and cosmetic items that the argan fruit has to offer. We'll continue on to Ouarzazate to see the famed Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, which has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We'll have free time to meander around its streets and climb to the summit to take in the stunning views over the valley. Then it's on to Skoura, a town nestled in the center of a palm-tree-lined valley. There, you can travel through the enormous and labyrinthine oasis, whose lush flora wraps valuable secret kasbahs, and visit its kasbah of Amerdil, where you can observe how the kasbahs were originally lived in. From here, we'll travel via the Valley of Roses (renowned for its rose farming) to the stunning Dades Gorges. Dinner and sleep at a lovely hotel on the mountainside along the Dades River.
After breakfast on the second day of the 3-day desert trip from Marrakech to Agadir, we'll go down the Boumalne River's bank, where a road lined with kasbahs (fortresses or castles) and ksour (fortified citadels) opens, with an ocher, red, and mauve landscape. Camels graze on the stony plateaus that surround us. After a ksour, oasis, and palm tree-filled excursion. Tinghir (where the beautiful Todra gorges are located) is placed at 1,350 meters above sea level and encircled by a palm grove. Free time to take a walk among the gorges, orchard, and palm grove. We continue to Erfoud (fossil city), where we can visit the quarries where they are mined and learn how they are processed to give them the many different forms and applications. Then we'll pass via Rissani before arriving in Merzouga in front of Erg Chebbi's high dunes, where we'll have a break and spend some free time. The camels will wait for us to reach the desert in the afternoon so we can enjoy an incredible sunset. The night will be memorable since you will be able to sleep in tents surrounded by dunes, just like the Berbers do. A traditional dinner will be served, followed by live drum music by the bonfire and, with luck, a starry sky. Dinner & breakfast in a desert camp.
It will be a fantastic day; we recommend getting up early to see the sunrise from the top of a nearby large dune and enjoying a traditional breakfast in the middle of the desert; we will then return with the camels to Merzouga village. Once we are ready, depart for Rissani (once Sijilmassa) – the birthplace of the current ruling family, the Alaouites. This is a highly traditional Moroccan town, with the majority of the women veiled and the men hooded. We'll keep driving through Alnif, Tazarine, Nkob, and Agdez on our way to Agadir. We'll take in the sights of the interesting Draa Valley, which is home to hundreds of Berber Kasbahs, before continuing on to Taznakht, Taliouine, and other destinations. Arrival in Agadir at the end of the day, transfer to the appointed location or accommodation. The 3 days tour from Marrakech to Agadir via Merzouga has come to an end here.
