Your 3 days tour from Ouarzazate to Fes via Boutaghrar caves will start by visiting the renowned Kasbah Taourirt. After that, we will head to the most well-known Ksar in the Ounila Valley, the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It served as a location for a number of Hollywood blockbusters, namely "Lawrence of Arabia" (1962), "The Jewel of the Nile" (1985), and "Game of Thrones". Due to its amazing history and picturesque location, the Kasbah (Ksar) of Ait Ben Haddou was inscribed to UNESCO's World Heritage Site in 1987. We will travel to the Dades Valley after breakfast, and then we will drive to Explore Skoura Oasis and the stunning Valley in Kalaat M'Gouna, where the Rose Festival is held annually in May. It is an occasion to celebrate and display a portion of the local culture, including art and music. Before moving to Boutaghrar, where you will encounter hospitable Berber families who still live in caves, you will have the chance to take lovely pictures and take in the scenery at the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. We'll continue to Dades Gorge after lunch, where you can see the striking rock formation and the extremely old Kasbah Ait Yul. Dinner and an overnight stay in a hotel or riad.
On the morning of the second day of your Morocco desert trip from Ouarzazate, when you eat breakfast on a patio with a panoramic view, the crisp, pure air of the Dades Valley will awaken your senses. We will continue from Dades to the renowned Todra gorges,A Jurassic-era rock formation. The Todra River's flowing water created the gorges, leaving behind cliffs that rise 300 meters above the surrounding terrain. Before moving to continue traveling through the Tinjdad palm groves, we will devote some time exploring this well-known sight. We will spend the night at Merzouga when we finally get there. We will embark on a camel trek over the desert dunes while the sun is setting, accompanied by local desert guides. The camels will transport us to a camp that is discreetly tucked away in the center of the sand dunes. Once you get to the camp, you will spend the evening around a magnificent campfire laughing, telling stories, and enjoying good cuisine.
After watching the amazing sunrise from the top of the Erg Chebbi dune, we will continue our 3-day Ouarzazate to Fes desert excursion. Breakfast will be served at the camp and take a shower. And then you will take another camel ride back to the town. You can choose to ride camels or a 4WD as we have both available. Following your time spent sightseeing in Merzouga, we will drive to Fes via the Ziz Valley, Midelt, Ifrane city, also known as the “Little Switzerland of Morocco,” . On our trip, we will stop at the renowned cedar forest, home to the Barbary apes, where you can take a short walk to take pictures. Arriving in Fes in the late afternoon, we will drop you off at your accommodation with spectacular tales and incredible memories fresh in your memory.
